Extreme Networks, the industry’s only end-to-end networking focused vendor, has been named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure for the first time.
Gartner’s Magic Quadrant provides a holistic overview of a market’s direction, maturity and key players, evaluating vendors based on their Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute.
Extreme’s surge to leadership has been unprecedented, having been classified as a visionary for three consecutive years prior to the 2018 report, and a niche player just four years ago.
Gartner highlighted Extreme’s strong leadership team, solutions to address IoT Segmentation and product management organisation as particular strengths. Particularly commendable has been Extreme’s ability to integrate acquired portfolios of Zebra, Avaya and Brocade into a cohesive roadmap focused on common hardware and a unified operating system, which is important to customers developing a three- to five-year strategy.
Ed Meyercord, President and CEO, Extreme Networks, Inc. commented "We feel that Extreme Networks' entrance into the Leaders quadrant as a vendor offering wired and wireless LAN access infrastructure is a true milestone. To us, it is an honor to be recognized by a source like Gartner in its Magic Quadrant. It is our fifth consecutive year appearing in this reference guide for our customers and partners."
Datrix has a long standing relationship with Extreme Networks as a Diamond Partner.
